Clarification on Youcef Nadarkhani’s Death Sentence

There are rumors circulating that Youcef Nadarkhani was to be executed on Friday December 3rd. These rumors are untrue. Youcef’s attorney stated that the execution has not been scheduled. Secondly, Friday is the Muslim holy day of the week and executions are not scheduled on that day. Sources have stated that the majority of executions are carried out on  Wednesday’s.

At this point, a hearing for the appeal has not yet been scheduled with the Supreme Court. When I know more I will certainly let you know.

I have received notice that Behrouz Sadegh-Khandjani is being charged with apostasy, blasphemy, and contact with the enemy. If he is convicted he will be sentenced to death. Pray for all parties involved in this case. It is also critical that we alert our local officials and the news media about Behrouz’.
