Will You Bear The Burdens Of The Persecuted?

Our contact in Iran has confirmed that brother Youcef Nadarkhani is alive, doing well and also is very hopeful for the upcoming trial. Neither he, nor his attorneys have received any information about his apostasy conviction. We have to assume he is still under the death penalty until we are officially notified. They still have not received any information about what his charges will be at the upcoming trial. Please continue to pray and spread the word about him.

In our last update we informed you that brother Behnam was transferred to the prison hospital as a result of becoming unconscious from the pain and blood loss due to his chronic ulcer. We will continue to follow up with our contacts to get more information about his current status.

We continue to receive various reports that many men and women are interested in and receiving the Gospel in Iran. The Iranian authorities think that they can stop the move of the Spirit. However, the harder they try the more people come to Jesus Christ. The Iranian government has no idea they are merely a tool in the hand of God to drive people away from Islam and create a hunger for something else in their hearts.

We cannot forget that this is a spiritual battle and not merely a political battle, but rather a fight between Light and Darkness, God and Satan. As Christians we cannot sit on the sideline in this battle. We are called to put on the full armor of God and to battle against the enemy. Paul wrote in Galatians 6:2, “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” In order to obey this verse we need to take concrete action and do something. We cannot bear each others burdens sitting on the sideline, getting news, hearing reports and doing nothing. I can tell you what to do, but it will be so much more effective if you ask God what he wants you to do to bear the burdens of the persecuted.
