During A Recent Trip 7 Come to Faith in Christ

This is a brief update regarding what is taking place among Iranian refugees living in Turkey. We have a team of pastors and missionaries who are actively working in Turkey. There are four churches that we have planted as well as additional cities we have worked with a few families and individuals. Our purpose is to lead them to Christ and establish them in the teachings of the message. This is always a challenge as we are working with brand new believers and even those that have converted long ago, know very little about the Bible and it’s teachings. So the burden is very heavy for us to work to establish them in the word of God.

Brother Jason DeMars’ main area of focus is working with the pastors to teach and establish them in the Scriptures. Then these brothers work closely with the people. The pastors not only hold services, but visit house to house and teach the believers the foundations of the word of God.

The pastors have begun a Skype group teaching session with believers throughout Turkey teaching them the ABC’s of the faith. We developed a 20 week study covering in detail each of the 10 commandments and how they relate to the New Testament. Then the brothers are to teach the people about modesty and biblical standards. After this they will cover each of the fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5.

During this time they will continue to travel and minister the word of God from city to city. Recently Brother Hamed visited a city in Turkey where during a series of services four people to forward to confess Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Then he travelled directly to another city and during the series of meetings there two people came forward to confess Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

God is moving, we earnestly covet your prayers, that the Lord of the harvest would send forth laborers into his harvest and that these new believers would receive the Holy Spirit and grow strong in faith.
