As of Wednesday May 2, 2012, our sources have confirmed that pastor Youcef Nadarkhani is alive and well. He is still in prison and awaiting the verdict for his retrial for apostasy from September 2011.
The 12 Christians tried for Crimes Against the Order (gathering for worship) in Rasht, Iran, have not received a verdict yet.
These 12 Christians, who faced charges in another trial which took place in Bandar Anzali, in 2011, and were found not guilty, have receivedword that the prosecutor has appealed the not guilty verdict.
By law, the prosecutor has 20 days to appeal the verdict. He failed to appeal within the timeframe their law requires; however, the appeal is proceeding through the courts a full five months after the trial took place.
Continue in prayer that God would give them strength to remain faithful and not give in to fear.
