Two Iranian Pastors Interrogated and Threatened

In the last two weeks two Iranian pastors, who had their homes raided on December 15, 2013, have been interrogated and threatened by VEVAK (Iran’s secret police). Pastor Silas Rabbani and Pastor Amin Khaki had their homes raided, their laptop computers and all Christian materials were taken from their homes including Bibles, New Testament’s and printed sermons and booklets.

VEVAK officials threatened them with long prison sentences because of their Christian ministry. They also informed them that they are monitoring them and banned them from entering the city of Tehran. It is clear the Iranian government considers Christians a threat to their national security and are doing everything they can to drive them from the country. They realized that the death penalty (because of international outcry regarding Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani’s death penalty for apostasy) will not be tolerated by the international community so they are pursuing other means to punish and stop Christian ministry in Iran.

Pray for Pastor Amin and Pastor Silas to have wisdom to know how to proceed with their lives and their families. Pray for them to boldly stand for Jesus Christ and for their protection.
