It is important to remember that the reason the church is being persecuted is because there is spiritual warfare taking place. Therefore, we cannot forget that we must speak out for Youcef, most importantly to our Heavenly Father. Prayer is the most important thing that we can do for Youcef. Not merely a prayer said out of duty or guilt, but a prayer from the depths of the soul that “intercedes…with groanings that are too deep for words.” Romans 8:26. Paul believed that the prayers of the saints would bring him deliverance from prison. Also, in 2 Corinthians 1:11, he says that he would be helped and delivered “by your prayers.”
With this spiritual warfare in mind, we ask that you join us in fasting and prayer for Youcef during his trial on September 8, 2012 at 9 AM Iranian time. In the West, this would be September 7th, 11:30 PM Central Time. I ask that, if you feel led of the Lord, you would pray and fast from the hours of 9:00 PM to 3:30 AM Central Time for his trial.
