Enduring Hardships

As of last Saturday, June 23^rd, Pastor Youcef is still alive, enduring in the Faith and awaiting official response and conclusion on his prison status. As you can see by his recent letter, our prayers for our brother are being answered with good health in body, spirit, and soul. Praise be to God for preserving our precious brother.

From Ghezal Hezar Prison in Karaj, Iran, Pastor Benham Irani needs continued prayers for his health as he is still abiding in very poor conditions and has been treated poorly both physically and mentally. May the Lord go before him as he endures these hardships as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

From Evin Prison in Tehran, Iran, Alireza Seyyedian is his carrying out his six year sentence.  We pray that the Lord will grant him abounding grace for his prison sentence, and that he will be set free.

We thank the Lord that He is fully in control for our brothers standing for Jesus Christ.

I am reminded of the words of our Savior before Pilate in John 19:11, “Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above.”  And, Brother Yun, while serving time in prison for the cause of Christ, in China, “I will be here as long as God has purposed for me to be here, and not a minute longer.”

For this reason alone we find rest and rejoice that God is fully in control, and we must pray that God’s purpose for them in prison is fulfilled soon.
