Nowruz Outreach Update

The Persian calendar begins when spring begins. So their New Year is our first day of spring. Millions of Iranians travel to Turkey during this two week holiday period. So it is a great time to reach out to them with the New Testament, a Jesus movie and books.

This was our first year doing this and so it was a bit of a learning experience. Everything went well and they were able to give out 400 of them! We anticipated giving out 1,000. However, this was our first experiene as a team doing this and now we know we need an additional team and more time for them to hand them out.
Theyy had to be ready for every type of reaction. Sometimes the Iranian’s were so scared of other Iranian’s that they simply turn and ran away. Other times the brothers were insulted. Sometimes people were filled with great joy in order to receive a gift like that. Several people said, “wow, I’ve been looking for a New Testament for a long time.”

We ask that you pray for those that have received the New Testament’s, imagine the great things that God can do in people’s live with the word of God and how many lives can be touched in Iran.
