I had an incredible experience traveling to Chevak, Alaska, to minister the Word to the saints there. Chevak is a Cup’ik native village in the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta, just a few miles from the Bering Sea. Their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and their sincere hearts were a great blessing to me as they pulled upon the Word that was preached. I was honored to minister among them.
To reach Chevak you fly into Anchorage, then on to Bethel, and from there take a small plane the rest of the way. It was an entirely new experience for me, but I enjoyed it immensely.
I preached on the subjects of Overcoming Depression, A Bitter Root, and A Word Family. The pastor and a number of the believers told me these were issues that needed to be addressed in the local church. The Word always discerns the hearts—praise God!
Bro. Andrew Boyscout is doing a marvelous job pastoring the church there. Here are a few pictures from the trip.
