Seed of the Serpent

Who is the seed of the serpent spoken of in Genesis 3:15? Those who are actively fighting against the message denigrate this Biblical doctrine. In particular they use Genesis 4:1 to state that Cain was the son of Adam, but we will examine this verse closely to reveal the truth.

  • THIS IS ACTRUALLY WRONG! THE VERY NONSENSE OUTCOME WAS CAIN AND ABEL RATHER THE SEED WAS THE SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.

  • This is certainly a prophecy of the Savior, our Lord Jesus Christ. However, you have to remember that very often prophecies have a dual fulfillment. You can view another of our articles that details this. One example is the prophecy of Hosea which looks to the past and to the future at the same time regarding calling God’s Son out of Egypt. Read Genesis 4:25, “And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew.” She said this was her seed again, the woman’s seed, Abel, was killed and in his place came Seth. We can see the enmity immediately fulfilled between Cain and Abel and then again between the Jewish Leaders and Jesus.
