The New Birth Is A Revelation

The new birth

In the sermon Christ is the Mystery of God Revealed Brother Branham speaks about the new birth in detail. I want to examine what he says, but first let’s look to the Scriptures.

  • John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

As we read this Scripture how can we understand the meaning and significance of being born again. Of course we understand that it has to do with salivation. Jesus is speaking of seeing and entering the kingdom of God. To enter the kingdom of God we must be saved.

John 3:5-6 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

The Lord Jesus is teaching us that when we are born of the flesh we take on the nature of the flesh, but when we are born of the Spirit we take on the nature of the Spirit. Therefore, we understand that the new birth brings us a nature change. Now, let’s read what Brother Branham tells us about the new birth.

240 The new Birth is Christ, is a revelation. God has revealed to you this great mystery, and that’s a new Birth.

Rev. William Marrion Branham

The great mystery is the revelation of God in Jesus Christ. When that is revealed it results in the new birth. When the new birth is given a new nature results. This is exactly what Brother Branham says in the following quote;

…the revelation of Jesus Christ through the new Birth. He borns in there, and He injects His Own Life, and your life is gone. And the Life of Christ is projecting Itself through you, with the preeminences, to the people; that they see the very Life, and works, and signs, and wonders, that He did, is doing the same thing through you.

He that is born of the Spirit is spirit. That is he now takes the nature of the Spirit and that nature is Jesus Christ. Now, the life of Christ is manifested through the revelation. Such wonderful truths revealed in such simplicity!

I want to continue to examine this teaching on the new birth in future posts. Especially in light of how does this relate to the fact that we receive the Holy Ghost after we believe.
