Oil and Natural Gas Discovered in Israel

Remember, brother Branham made the statement that Russia would come down for the oil. We know that oil and natural gas reserves have been discovered in Israel. The way things are shaping up they may come down against Israel for two reasons;

1. oil, natural gas
2. to disarm a nuclear state that has failed to comply with the UN

I love seeing prophecy coming to pass-the prophecies of William Branham and Ezekiel are beginning to take shape.

Ahmadinejad Develops Long Range Ballistic Missile

TimesOnline-President Ahmadinejad demonstrated yesterday that he has become a master of playing cat and mouse with the West — and this time the mouse was real.

Once again, the Iranian leader offered a last-minute concession to head off the West’s drive for new sanctions against the Islamic republic. At the same time, Iran thumbed its nose at UN restrictions on its ballistic missiles programme by sending a rocket into space carrying a mouse, two turtles and some worms.

In an interview on state television, Mr Ahmadinejad said that Iran had no problem shipping enriched uranium abroad in a deal that Tehran had resisted for months. The surprise announcement came as the West prepared to ask Russia and China to back UN sanctions on the Iranian energy sector, central bank and Revolutionary Guards — the first UN sanctions since March 2008.

Political directors from the “big three” EU powers — Britain, France and Germany — are to hold a telephone conference call with their US counterpart tomorrow before consulting Russia and China later in the day.

Western officials acknowledged that Iran’s about-face on the uranium swap would undercut their case.

While they mulled the implications of Mr Ahmadinejad’s latest move, Tehran’s state television showed the Kavoshgar-3 (Explorer-3) rocket blasting off, carrying what it called living organisms. The ISNA news agency said that the capsule returned to Earth with its rather unusual “passengers”.

Mr Ahmadinejad hailed the launch as a breakthrough that would help to break “the global domineering system” of Western powers. At a ceremony for a new satellite he said that Iran hoped to send astronauts into space soon.

Western experts suggested that the space programme provided cover for the development of long-range missiles capable of carrying a nuclear pay-load. The White House denounced the launch as a “provocative act”.

MOSCOW, Jan 21 (Reuters) – Russia will start up the reactor at Iran’s Bushehr nuclear power plant this year, the chief of Russia’s state nuclear corporation told reporters on Thursday.

“2010 is the year of Bushehr,” Rosatom chief Sergei Kiriyenko told reporters after a cabinet meeting in Moscow.

“There is absolutely no doubt that it will be built this year. Everything is going according to schedule,” he said. (Reporting by Darya Korsunskaya, writing by Guy Faulconbridge, editing by Conor Humphries)

Netanyahu’s ‘secret visit to Moscow’

Israeli media has reported that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu secretly visited Moscow on Monday in a bid to dissuade Russia from selling weapons to Iran.
In Moscow, a spokesman for Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin denied the reports.
A spokesman for Netanyahu said he had visited a security installation in Israel, reiterating a statement issued by his office on Monday amid media speculation about his whereabouts.

An unsourced report in Israel’s most popular newspaper, Yedioth Ahronoth, said the ‘security facility was actually Russia’ and Netanyahu had discussed new arms deals being forged between the Kremlin and Iran.
Israel Radio reported after the Yedioth Ahronoth story appeared that Netanyahu, accompanied by his national security adviser and a military aide, boarded a chartered plane in a secluded area of Tel Aviv’s Ben-Gurion airport on Monday and flew to Russia, returning late at night.
The radio, which also gave no source for its information, said Netanyahu had visited a security installation in Israel before travelling to Moscow.
Media reports over the weekend, citing military sources in Israel and Russia, said a cargo ship that went missing in the Atlantic for almost a month had been carrying Russian air defence S-300 missiles to Iran that were detected by Israel.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov dismissed those reports and said the circumstances of the Maltese-registered Arctic Sea’s disappearance would become clear in due course.
The ship was officially carrying timber from Finland to Algeria when it was boarded on July 24 by a group of eight men. They were charged with kidnapping and piracy after it was intercepted by Russian warships off Cape Verde.
The advanced anti-aircraft system have been a sore point in relations between Moscow and Israel, which has lobbied Russia to pull away from selling them to Iran, saying they could protect Iranian nuclear facilities against air strikes.
Assumed to have the region’s only atomic arsenal, Israel supports U.S.-led diplomatic efforts to deny Iran the means of making a nuclear bomb.
But Israel has hinted it could use force in a standoff that has often pitted Western powers against Russia.
Iran says it is enriching uranium to generate electricity.

Iran and Russia Hold Joint Military Maneuver

July 29, 2009 by Jason DeMars

For the first time, Russia and Iran will hold a joint naval maneuver in the Caspian Sea, The Iranian Mehr News Agency reported Wednesday.

According to the report, the maneuver will include 30 Russian and Iranian ships, as well as helicopters.

A senior official in the Iranian ports authority was quoted by the report as saying that the maneuver would increase the coordination between the two countries, and focus on search and rescue operations and the prevention of pollution.

The Jerusalem Post could not confirm the report.

Russia enjoys extensive trade ties with Teheran and has been opposed to imposing further sanctions on Iran over its uranium enrichment program.

Moscow is building Iran’s first nuclear power plant in Bushehr, has provided Teheran with weapons and needs Iranian assistance on the Caspian Sea and other regional issues.

In April, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov explained that Iran is “our neighbor, it’s a country which can play a very important role in solving a number of acute international issues, such as the situation in Afghanistan, Iraq and different aspects of Mideast peace settlement.”

In June, a Russian news agency reported that the completion of Iran’s first nuclear plant was being delayed by Russian banks refusing to work with Iran.

Iran is paying Russia more than $1 billion (€630 million) to build the light-water reactor and has already received several shipments of enriched uranium for its operation.

Russia Won’t Agree To Iran Sanctions

JPost – A Russian Foreign Ministry source was quoted Tuesday as saying that Moscow would not impose tougher sanctions on Iran over its nuclear program in exchange for a new nuclear arms cuts deal with Washington.

Reuters cited an Interfax report which quoted the source as saying, “There are no reasons to link these issues or count on Russia being more cooperative in toughening sanctions against Iran if there is progress in talks with the United States on further cuts in strategic offensive weapons.”

The comment referred to negotiations between US President Barack Obama and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev over the START I agreement, a pact regulating the number of long-range nuclear weapons held by the US and Russia, which expires on December 5.

Russia has consistently shown reluctance to place strong sanctions on Iran, with which it enjoys trade ties.

However, Reuters quoted a Kremlin source as saying that the remarks on Iran did not indicate any change in the vibe of the negotiations. “It was nothing more than an exchange of remarks over a specific suggestion,” the source was quoted as saying.

Medvedev Again Calls For Global Currency

July 13, 2009 by Jason DeMars

Even if Russia’s call for a global currency failed to gain much traction at a G8 summit, President Dmitry Medvedev took home a coin meant to symbolize that the dream may one day come true.

The Russian leader proudly displayed the coin, which bears the English words “United Future World Currency”, to journalists after the summit wrapped up in the quake-hit Italian town of L’Aquila.

Medvedev said that although the coin, which resembled a euro and featured the image of five leaves, was just a gift given to leaders it showed that people were beginning to think seriously about a new global currency.

“In all likelihood something similar could appear and it could be held in your hand and used as a means of payment,” he told reporters. “This is the international currency.”

Russia, along with China, has been a vocal proponent of diversifying the global currency system away from the dollar, which has dominated global finance and commerce since the end of World War II.

French President Nicolas Sarkozy at the summit joined the band in favour of dumping the dollar as the international currency of reference, insisting that “we cannot stick with just one single currency.”

Gog and Magog? Two Occurances.

June 18, 2009 by Jason DeMars

I got some feedback from a good brother here in Minnesota in regards to something I wrote about Gog and Magog being prior to the 1,000 reign of Jesus Christ over this earth. We find references to Gog and Magog in Revelation 20:8 and Ezekiel 38 and 39.

He stated, “you were talking about Gog and Magog on THIS side of the Millenium – actually Armageddon is on this side and Gog and Magog are at the end of the Millenium…”

This was a good point made by this brother. He was correct, BUT so was I.

Revelation 20:8 refers to after the 1,000 year kingdom of Messiah and Ezekiel is referring to a time prior to the tribulation period. Here was my response to our brother.

Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him, And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords: Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet: Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee. Ezekiel 38:2-6

This is Meshech (Moscow), Tubal (Tobolsk), Persia (Iran), Ethiopia (quite possibly what is now the Sudan), Libya, Gomer and Togarmah (possibly Turkey) will gather with a great company against “the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel…”

They will come down to “take a spoil” (Ezekiel 38:12) which I believe is what bro. Branham said Russia will come down against Israel for their oil, which they are just now discovering, amazingly enough.

Now, here is why I believe this is prior to the tribulation period.

As a result of the war God will send fire and hailstones out of heaven to destroy the armies gathered against Israel.

And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the handstaves, and the spears, and they shall burn them with fire seven years: So that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither cut down any out of the forests; for they shall burn the weapons with fire: and they shall spoil those that spoiled them, and rob those that robbed them, saith the Lord GOD. And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the noses of the passengers: and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call it The valley of Hamongog. And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of them, that they may cleanse the land. Ezekiel 39:9-12

According to these verses they will be cleaning up from the destruction that God wrought for 7 years and it will take 7 months to bury all the dead. After the millennium a fire comes from heaven to cleanse the entire earth. There will be no need to spend 7 years cleaning up the mess and burying the dead.

Of course, this isn’t an issue that has to do with our salvation, but its a prophecy of scripture that speaks of an event that will come to pass shortly. We shall see.

Russia, China Call For New Global Currency

April 25, 2009 by Jason DeMars

Russia and China are coordinating proposals on a new global currency that could replace the US dollar as a reserve currency to prevent a repeat of the global economic crisis, the Kremlin said on Monday.

“We have received proposals from our colleagues in China, detailed proposals,” President Dmitry Medvedev’s top economic adviser Arkady Dvorkovich said. “Our positions are very similar.

“We have similar positions on the development of the international financial architecture,” he told reporters.

Ahead of the Group of 20 summit in London later this week, the Kremlin has published a raft of proposals to overhaul the global economic order, including plans for a supra-national currency that could replace the US dollar.

China has come forward with similar ideas.

US President Barack Obama has said he does not see why the dollar should be replaced and British Prime Minister Gordon Brown said the summit would have more immediate issues to discuss.

“So far, not everybody is ready for that,” acknowledged Dvorkovich. “We will insist on that at all levels.”

Medvedev has said the international community should have a say when the world’s richest countries make decisions with global implications, as in the US financial crisis, sparked by the collapse of the market for subprime or higher risk mortgages.

Moscow also understood however, that many countries were not ready to undertake additional “political obligations,” said Dvorkovich, expressing hope that major economies would at least be open to consultations on the subject.

Dvorkovich said he hoped Russia and other major developing economies would also get an equal say and the attention they deserve during the G20 meeting.

“We are hoping that our voice will be heard but I would like to stress that we do not have a desire to pit our voice against that of our partners,” he said, referring to developing economies Brazil, India and China who join Russia in what is known collectively as ‘BRIC.’

“There will be no separate joint (BRIC) communique, nor should there be,” Dvorkovich said. “This is the summit of the leaders of the G20 countries.”

Critics have suggested China and the United States, whose economies are closely intertwined, would likely steal the show by promoting their own agenda and turning the G20 forum into a ‘G2′ summit.

Dvorkovich said the US and China would have ample time to discuss bilateral issues on the summit’s sidelines

Separately, Dvorkovich said Medvedev would meet Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd on April 1, just before the summit. Medvedev was also scheduled to meet US President Barack Obama, China’s Hu Jintao and Britain’s Brown that day.
