Trial Results

The trial for the five Iranian Christians was held last night, and we received word this morning that the judge could not reach a verdict at this time. The prosecutor (government) was not able to produce any evidence of blasphemy against Islamic values. However, the security service is placing pressure on the judge, so a new trial date of April 12th was set giving them a week to try to produce evidence.

Thank you all for your payer on behalf of these believers. While there is still much need for prayer for the upcoming trial we are rejoicing over the victory that our sister and brothers were not convicted last night! Matthew 6:34 tells us, “Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.” Lamentations 3:22-23 says, “It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” We can’t know what the future holds, but on this day there was victory and relief that another conviction was not handed down.

Let’s continue to pray, battle, and fight against that spiritual “prince of Persia” who is trying to destroy the saints of God. We know that what Satan intends for destruction, God will turn around  and use for the salvation of many. When we pray, it cannot be merely something casual, for it is a spiritual battlefield that we are entering, and we must enter into a spirit of prayer and have compassion and deep feeling for what we are seeking God for.
