Iran’s Regime Continues Targeted Persecution Against Christians

Threats to Pastor Behnam Irani Persist

Our sources have informed us that Iran’s secret police (VEVAK) intends to make life even more difficult for Behnam Irani and his family. Some sources have informed us that the intention is to keep brother Behnam in prison the rest of his life. While they haven’t said what their plans are with his wife Kristina and their children, Rebekah and Adriel, the necessity is to pray and speak out. While western powers are willing to negotiate and give Iran a place at the table they are confirming that VEVAK can continue its program to imprison and persecute Christian pastors with impunity.

Matthias Haghnejad, pastor with the Bandar-e Anzali and Silas Rabbani, an associate minister with the Karaj church where Behnam Irani was the pastor, have both been sentenced to 6 years in prison. They will serve their prison time in Minab, Iran.

Previously we reported on associated minister of Karaj, Amin Khaki who was being held in prison in Ahwaz, Iran. We have no updates or reports regarding him. Please continue to pray for him and his wife.
