Increased Persecution In Shiraz, Iran

Two More Iranian Christians Arrested

On October 19, 2012, two more Iranian Christians were arrested and are being held in the same VEVAK prison (Pelak 100) as the seven who were arrested before them.  Sister Afsar Bahmani and Brother Masoud Rezaei were summoned to VEVAK’s prison and were subsequently arrested.

According to Mohabat News, “The building known as “Pelak 100” is part of a property belonging to the Iranian Army with no signs showing what is located there.  The entire street where “Pelak 100” is located is under video surveillance and monitored from watch towers.  The detention center at “Pelak 100” holds 20 to 30 individual cells and 10 group cells.  It also has about 8 interrogation rooms.”

Sister Afsar has been released, but Brother Masoud remains in prison and we ask that you pray for  the seven believers who are being held in that same prison.

The names of the seven being held are; Mohammad (Vahid) Roghangir, Soroush Saraei, Eskandar Rezaei, Bijan Haghighi, Mehdi Amerouni and Shahin Lahouti and

Ms. Roxana Foroughi.  They will have their hearing to learn of their charges and have their bail set within the next month though a date has not been set yet.

Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated, since you also are in the body.”   Hebrews 13:3
