Youcef remains in custody in Lakan prison. While he is no longer in solitary confinement, the situation still remains critical. It could be up to four months until the Iranian Supreme Court rules in regard to the appeal of his death sentence. Pray for Youcef’s guards, cell-mates, and the members of the supreme court. Ask that God would use this situation for his glory in bringing many Iranians to truth and redemption.
Behrouz Sadegh-Khandjani also remains in custody at the military tribunal prison in Shiraz. He along with 6 other Christians, who are not in prison, are awaiting sentencing there.

The believers in Iran and the refugee believers in Turkey have many needs, but the greatest of them is prayer. Please continue to lift them up before the throne of grace. Fight and battle against the spiritual enemy of their souls, Satan. He is the one that is prowling, using the Iranian government, to see whom he may devour. All of us have the promise that Christ will be with us always even unto the end of the earth. “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
Because our message is so contrary to the world’s message (whether that be secularism, Islam or any other religion), we have trouble and tribulations. It is normal for Christians to suffer persecution, but we should be of good cheer because Jesus has overcome the world and in our souls we have peace. It is a peace that no circumstance on this earth can take away. “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:35-39 In the worldly sense we may not look like conquerors. Sometimes we look like sheep ready for the slaughter, yet through faith we overcome. The world values comfort, but God values faithfulness to Him and His Word. Those who overcome are faithful through great trials, even unto death. A great reward, one that can never be lost, is waiting for those who overcome.
