Brothers, We Are Called to Missions

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
(Mark 16:15)
No matter who we are or what part of the body of Christ we occupy we are called to missions. Missions being, preaching the gospel to every creature. Each and every one of us should be doing something to reach out to the unsaved, to those who do not know the truth that can set them free.
The thing I am burdened for in those who are following the message God sent to us is old fashioned traditional missions. The current form that missions seems to be taking amongst the message is a preacher arranging meetings with an overseas preacher and speaking at their church. There is nothing wrong with that, people in other countries here of that meeting and come then they are converted to Christ. That is a true miracle of the Lord.
However, that is not the burden on my heart. What I am feeling and calling for is brothers who are willing to give up their lives and move overseas to take the Gospel message to those who have never heard. I know that it is happening with little fanfare and that there are programs and ministries that do this already. I pray that the Lord would raise up young men (old men too), but usually its young men, to go to unreached people groups to bring the truth of the word of God to them.
You don’t need a program or to raise up support. You just need a calling from the Lord, a burning passion for it and a lot of faith. You don’t need to go out and ask for money from people. Just believe that the Lord will provide for you. If He has called you then He will meet your every need. It doesn’t mean it will all be met at once, but as you begin to walk forward in the calling, step by step He will provide.
It takes rugged faith and passion for Christ to step out in this manner, but there is a desperate need for laborers to enter the harvest. Please brothers, be willing and of a ready mind to go when God calls you and places a passion and desire for missions.
There are thousands upon thousands of people groups world-wide that have not even heard the gospel of kingdom declared to them. Let’s do all we can to reach them.

  • I believe that’s the truth and we should pray for the Lord to guide where He wills and to reveal to us our calling and purpose that He has for us. Everyone has a work they have been given to do for the Bride. And the Holy Spirit is manifested within us and through us. God works through His Bride to do His Will. When we give up and surrender ourselves to Him, it is so He can mold us and make us to be like Him. And since we are of Him we can only do what is His nature. So let’s forsake ourselves for His glory.

  • Bro. Jason, you’re right. There should be missionaries going into all the world, that is true! In addition, we should not forget ourselves, the United States. Brother Branham said that the United States was the place that needed missionaries more than any other place in the world. I pray that God puts it in the hearts of men to take the gospel not only to the rest of the world, but to our nation who needs it the most.

    God Bless You!

43 But God’s just now loosening up the church everywhere, getting in order now so He can get into the rapture, got to give it rapturing faith before it can go in the rapture.
The people are in the spirit of the last days, just like they was in the days of Noah, eating, drinking, marrying, giving in marriage, unconcerned, don’t care, walk around, and anything else. And these American people is the worst on the face of the earth: heady, high-minded, incontinent, fierce, and despisers, a know-it-all. If there’s any place in the world… With, my Bible over my heart, and God knowing that I–looking down on me and know I may have to stand before Him before morning… If I had to say so, the place needs missionaries worse than any place in the world is the U.S.A., the United States of America. The greatest bunch of heathens that I know of anywhere is in America. “Heathen” means “unbeliever.”

E-12 You know what Owensboro needs down here? Is a good old fashion, God sent, Holy Ghost revival; before you can have… that’s exactly. And then you can have a healing meeting, exactly right. If–I tell you if this world… America is in one of the most polluted shapes that I ever seen in my life. If there’s any place in the world, that this world needs missionaries is the United States of America. An educated heathen’s far worse to fool with than an uneducated. What do you think about that Dr. Bosworth? He’s done learned, he’ll stand, he’ll look at the miracles of God, and he’ll say, “Well, Dr. So-and-so said that was theology, that was mental telepathy. Well, I believe it’s the Devil.”
Sit there, puffed up like that, with… No wonder condemnation, no wonder judgment hangs over this nation. Is because you, call–be called by the name of a Christian nation, and rejected the very principles of Christianity. That’s exactly right.

E-7 I said, “Brother, them’s all over the United States, but yet we can’t accept nothing till Jesus Christ has said yes. I said, “After…” And we was talking to Brother Bosworth about it.
He said, “How can I be a pastor either, Brother Branham, when I hear that call coming from across the sea?”
You’re just not the same if you ever get over there and see what it is. Now, I–I mean it, and I’m–I’m an American. I was born here an American, America. I had four or five brothers in the last war. I’ve got a boy here going in now, right away. And when I was in France and Germany, I walked over the graves of many a dead American, a Branham, rather, that gave their life under the stars and stripes. If mine had to lay there for the cause, I’d gladly lay it down.
But if there ever was a place that needed missionaries, is America. That’s right. It’s true. Farthest away from God that I know of is the United States. That’s… I say that with respects as an American. It’s… We have been so educated and taught and so many things throwed right into our laps, we don’t know how to trust God. Don’t know nothing…

  • That’s the absolute truth bellizima. It’s more true now than what it was when he spoke it in 1953. Though there won’t be any great revivals here anymore in the USA there are still a few here and a few there that need to hear the word of God.
