Is there Death in the Millennium?

This is also from a discussion I had with several believers on a discussion board on Facebook.
I believe that the scriptures are not at all being unclear right there. There may or may not be a quote for it, but there is very, very clear scripture that says there is a sinner and that there is death in the millennium. This may sound like a foolish idea, but based upon the Isaiah 65 we understand that the “sinner dying at 100 years old shall be accursed.” Sin and death are there.
THE_SIXFOLD_PURPOSE_OF_THE_VISITATION_OF_GABRIEL JEFF_IN 07-30-61 Evening
Now, anyone, any reader that knows that from Ezekiel the 40th chapter until about the 44th chapter is nothing in the world but the millennium Temple being erected on earth (anyone knows that. See?), when the glory of the Lord fills it and so forth like that.
Read a few of these scriptures in Ezekiel 40 to 44.
Eze 44:22 Neither shall they take for their wives a widow, nor her that is put away: but they shall take maidens of the seed of the house of Israel, or a widow that had a priest before.
Eze 44:25 And they shall come at no dead person to defile themselves: but for father, or for mother, or for son, or for daughter, for brother, or for sister that hath had no husband, they may defile themselves.
Eze 44:27 And in the day that he goeth into the sanctuary, unto the inner court, to minister in the sanctuary, he shall offer his sin offering, saith the Lord GOD.
These things take place during the millennium we can see that there is:
1. death (ie-dead person, widows)
2. sin (ie-divorce “her that is put away”, sin offerings)
3. sacrifice (ie-priests, “sin offering”)
4. marriage (widows, “not take for their wives”)
The word there in Isaiah 65:20 for die in Hebrew is “muth” and it means death, dead, destroy, kill or slay.
Another point to be made about the millennium is that according to Isaiah 65:20 there will be children there.
Isa 11:6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and A LITTLE CHILD shall lead them.
Isa 11:7 And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
Isa 11:8 And the SUCKLING CHILD shall play on the hole of the asp, and the WEANED CHILD shall put his hand on the cockatrice’ den.
There will be nursing and weaning and thus birth during the millennium. Clearly the children of the resurrection will not marry nor be given in marriage, but shall be like the angels of heaven. But those who are carried over in the ark so to speak from the time of Jacob’s trouble into the kingdom age will be able to do so. The saints will rule over the nations in that time.
It also states that there are people that survive the day of the Lord and will come up to Jerusalem to worship at the temple of the Lord.
Zec 14:9 And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.
Zec 14:10 All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin’s gate unto the place of the first gate, unto the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananeel unto the king’s winepresses.
Zec 14:11 And men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited.
Zec 14:12 And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.
Zec 14:13 And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the LORD shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbour.
Zec 14:14 And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance.
Zec 14:15 And so shall be the plague of the horse, of the mule, of the camel, and of the ass, and of all the beasts that shall be in these tents, as this plague.
Zec 14:16 And it shall come to pass, that EVERY ONE THAT IS LEFT of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.
Isaiah 65:20 There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundredyears old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.” A brother wrote in regards to this verse, ”Maybe it is because they are in hell…” The context of this verse is not at all speaking of hell. Why would they speak of age in regards to someone in hell? The context of the verse is the millennium not hell.
No one is raised from the dead to live in the millennium because it is appointed unto man once to die and after that the judgment. Unless they are believers they will not be raised from the dead for a “second chance” to accept God. These are people that survive armageddon and the catastrophic judgment God brings upon mankind.
Zec 14:16 And it shall come to pass, that EVERY ONE THAT IS LEFT of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.
This scripture is speaking of Armageddon when all the nations of the earth will be gathered together against Jerusalem and the Jewish nation. Then it goes directly into the millennial reign of Christ. People are left or in other words they survive armageddon and they repopulate the earth as Noah and his family that was carried over in the ark.
Take a look at this scripture speaking of the judgment before the millennium. It first says the Lord will make the earth empty and lay it waste and finishes with the statement there will be FEW men left. As in he destroys almost all people, but there are some people that survive.
Isaiah 24:1 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof.
2And it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the lender, so with the borrower; as with the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him.
3The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken this word.
4The earth mourneth and fadeth away, the world languisheth and fadeth away, the haughty people of the earth do languish.
5The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.
6Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and FEW MEN LEFT.
Based upon what William Branham said and the scriptures that apply to it, we are given a clue as to various things that happen during the millennial reign of Jesus Christ upon the throne of David
1st President of Europe – A Jesuit Educated Roman Catholic

Here is an article talking about the Belgian Prime Minister who has been elected to be the first president of the European Union.
http://www.cnn.com/2009/WORLD/europe/11/19/eu.presidency/index.html
Reuters reports that Herman Van Rompuy was “born at the end of Oct. 1947 in Brussels, he was educated at the Jesuit Sint-Jan Berchmans College in central Brussels, then studied philosophy and economics at the Catholic University of Leuven. Van Rompuy is a Catholic and has often gone on religious retreats in the Abbey of Affligem (Flemish Brabant) to renew his faith and meditate.”
Van Rompuy is a Jesuit educated Roman Catholic who now heads the European Union as its first president.
The question that I have for everyone is will the Pope be the president of the EU or will the Pope control the president of the EU as he controlled kings and military leaders in the past? My personal opinion is that the Papacy will be in control of the secular leaders. The leader who wanted to be the first president of Europe recently converted to Catholicism, but still did not get the post, Tony Blair, former Prime Minister of Great Britain. The job then was voted on and went to a Jesuit educated Roman Catholic.
I believe that this is the first step that the Papacy is taking to gain control over Europe to achieve its goal of ruling the world and moving its headquarters from Rome to Jerusalem.
The Foolish Virgin

And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.Matthew 25:6-7
The foolish virgin arise from slumber with the wise virgin. when then the friend of the groom says, “Behold the Bridegroom.” So you can say that they respond to the message.
And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. Matthew 25:8
If you look carefully at the tense of the Greek for the word “gone out” it actually is “going out.” Apparently the foolish virgin had oil in their lamps, but they did not take any “oil in their vessels with their lamps.” (Matthew 25:4) In other words the wise were wise because they not only took oil in their lamps they also brought extra in a vessel.
These foolish virgin are virgin, they are pure in the word, not stained with man’s denominational doctrine and they have oil in their lamps, but their lamps are going out. They have eternal life and they have heard the message, but they could not enter into the marriage feast laid out for them.
Who was William Branham?

Who Was William Marrion Branham?
William Marrion Branham was one of the most influential Bible ministers of our time. He was considered by many to be the initiator of the healing and charismatic revival that began in 1947, and from his ministry there sprang a myriad of other ministers who became internationally known. One Historian of that movement stated that William Branham was “a prophet to our generation”, and a Pentecostal Historian wrote, “Branham filled the largest stadiums and meeting halls in the world.” The Full Gospel Men’s Voice, (now, Full Gospel Businessmen’s Fellowship International), in its February 1961 issue, wrote: “In Bible Days, there were men of God who were Prophets and Seers. But in all the Sacred Records, none of these had a greater ministry than that of William Branham, a Prophet and Seer of God, whose photograph appears on the front cover of this issue of Full Gospel Men’s Voice. Branham has been used by God, in the Name of Jesus, to raise the dead!” From 1947 until the time of his passing in 1965, the powerful ministry of William Branham was well known and considered unparalleled in the history of gospel meetings. The impact of the supernatural ministry of this one man was felt not only in North America, but also around the world.
Early Life And Conversion
William Branham was born April 6, 1909 in a log cabin in the Kentucky hills, the first of nine children of Charles and Ella Branham. Reared near Jeffersonville, Indiana, he knew only a life of deep poverty and hardship, his father being alcoholic and illiterate. Compounding these circumstances, the young boy was considered “nervous”, because from an early age he spoke of “visions” and “a voice” which spoke to him out of a wind, saying, “Don’t ever drink, or smoke, or defile your body in any way. There will be a work for you to do when you get older.”
William Branham came to know the Lord and was filled with the Holy Spirit in 1931. From that time, the Bible became the focus of his life and Jesus Christ the center of his very existence! He was ordained to the ministry at the age of 23 years, in the Missionary Baptist Church in December of 1932.
Visitations Of An Angel
On June 11, 1933, William Branham was baptizing in the Ohio River near Jeffersonville, Indiana, when a bright fiery light suddenly appeared over his head and a voice spoke out, “As John the Baptist was sent to forerun the first coming of Jesus Christ, so are you sent to forerun His second coming!” The next edition of the Jeffersonville Evening News reported the incident with the subheading, “Mysterious Star Appears Over Minister While Baptizing”.
In May of 1946, he set himself aside to seek God for the meaning of his strange life. As he prayed alone late one night, an angel of light appeared, saying, “Do not fear. I am sent from the presence of Almighty God to tell you that your peculiar birth and misunderstood life has been to indicate that you are to take a gift of Divine healing to the peoples of the world. If you will be sincere when you pray and can get the people to believe you, nothing shall stand before your prayer, not even cancer. You will go into many parts of the earth and will pray for kings and rulers and potentates. You will preach to multitudes the world over and thousands will come to you for counsel.” This was literally fulfilled in the years that followed, for his ministry took him around the world seven times and many individuals of public influence, including Congressman Upshaw of the U.S.A. (left figure) and King George VI of England, were healed as a result of his prayers.
On the night of January 24, 1950, one of the most amazing photographs of all time was taken in the Sam Houston Coliseum, Houston, Texas. As William Branham stood at the podium, a halo of fire appeared above his head. This picture was the only one that turned out on the entire film! George J. Lacy, Investigator of Questioned Documents, and often hired by the FBI in that capacity, subjected the negative to every scientific test available. At a news conference, he stated, “To my knowledge, this is the first time in all the world’s history that a supernatural being has been photographed and scientifically vindicated.” The original of this photograph is kept in the archives of the Religious Department of the Smithsonian Institute, Washington, D.C.
Worldwide Ministry
As news spread of miraculous healings, pastors from all around began to call Bro. William Branham to minister for their congregations and pray for the sick. A supernatural sign had been given him for the purpose of encouraging the people to believe. Firstly, a physical sign in his hand would indicate a disease or healing. Later on in his ministry the secret thoughts and needs of individuals were revealed, resulting in faith for deliverance. It became abundantly clear to any serious Bible reader, that William Branham was ordained a Prophet to fulfill the many scriptural prophecies concerning our time.
Churches could not accommodate the crowds, and the meetings moved to large auditoriums or stadiums for united campaigns in the major cities of North America.
Jonesboro, Arkansas – “Evening Sun” Newspaper June 12, 1947.
“Residents of at least 25 States and Mexico have visited Jonesboro since Rev. Branham opened the camp meeting, June 1st. The total attendance for the services is likely to surpass the 20,000 mark.”
Helsinki, Finland – 1950
Two years prior to the Helsinki campaign, God had shown Bro. Branham a vision of a boy being raised from the dead. He related the details to his audiences and asked them to write the vision in the flyleaf of their Bibles. The vision was fulfilled at the scene of an accident, near Kuopio, Finland, where a boy on a bicycle had been struck by a car and killed. The Branham party travelling in a motorcade came upon the scene and Brother Branham, asking that the sheet covering the body be removed, recognized the boy to be the same one he had seen in the vision. He prayed and the child was raised from the dead.
Durban, South Africa – 1951
Meetings were sponsored by The Apostolic Faith Mission, the Assemblies of God, the Pentecostal Holiness and the Full Gospel Church of God and conducted in eleven cities, with a combined attendance of a half a million people! Church history was made on the final day of the Durban meetings, held at the Greyville Racecourse, where an estimated 45,000 people were in attendance and thousands more turned away at the gates!
Is This Ministry A Fulfillment Of Prophecy?
“Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.” Amos 3:7
God’s pattern of dealing with His people has always included the sending of prophets. The prophet Amos informs us that God does “nothing” without a prophetic forerunner, and even a surface study of scriptural history will uncover this to be exactly as stated. Seldom was there a prophet who spoke the words of God who was not greeted with skepticism, rejection and abuse!
Consider these scriptures:
Malachi 4:5 and 6 is two-fold, fulfilled in part in the ministry of John, the Baptist. He preceded the first coming of Jesus Christ, called the “great” day of the Lord, turning the hearts of the fathers of the “law” to the children of the New Testament era of “grace.” As stated in Jamieson, Fausset And Brown Commentary on the Whole Bible, “…John the Baptist was an Elijah in spirit (Luke 1:16,17) but not the literal Elijah (John 1:21). This implies that John, knowing he was referred to by Malachi 4:5, knew by inspiration that he did not exhaustively fulfil all that is included in this prophecy: that there is a further fulfillment. There is a prophet that will fulfill the second part of this scripture, forerun the second coming of Christ and “turn the hearts of the children to their fathers..” Literally, a ministry that will turn the hearts of a backslidden generation back to the Word of God and the faith of our “early church” fathers before the “dreadful day of the Lord”, the second coming of Christ in judgment.
Again, Matthew 17:10-12 is two-fold. Firstly, “Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come?” “… But I say unto you, That Elias is come already and they knew him not …” speaking of John the Baptist. Secondly, “And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things.” Speaking of a future forerunner to precede Christ’s second coming.
The ministry of William Branham involved three distinct stages that he referred to as “pulls”. The First Pull: Healing. Second Pull: Prophesying. Third Pull: The opening or revealing of the Word of God.
The ministry of Jesus Christ followed exactly the same pattern. First Pull: multitudes flocked to hear his gracious words and to receive His miraculous healing touch. Second Pull: Revealed the secrets of the hearts. (John 4:17-18) Third Pull: His “message”, the Word of God which came in strength and contrary to the religious order of the day, caused the multitudes to leave him.
“From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.” John. 6:66
In December 1962 God gave William Branham a vision of an angelic visitation which he foretold in a message “Sirs is this the Time?” On February 28, 1963, the vision and prophecy was fulfilled when a constellation of seven angels, formed as the head of Christ, met him with a commission to speak the opening of the Seven Seals of Revelation. Life Magazine (May 17th 1963) carried the photograph of this supernatural event, describing it as a “Mystery Cloud over Arizona.”
To the millions of believers around the world who have heard and received the Message which God has sent through His prophet, William Branham, the Word of God has opened up as never before in history. Jesus Christ has come into plain view through the pages of revealed scripture. World events no longer cause alarm, for all is unfolding as it should, fulfilling Bible prophecy!
We urge all sincere readers to be as the Bereans in Act 17:11 who “were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”
Gog and Magog? Two Occurances.
June 18, 2009 by Jason DeMars
I got some feedback from a good brother here in Minnesota in regards to something I wrote about Gog and Magog being prior to the 1,000 reign of Jesus Christ over this earth. We find references to Gog and Magog in Revelation 20:8 and Ezekiel 38 and 39.
He stated, “you were talking about Gog and Magog on THIS side of the Millenium – actually Armageddon is on this side and Gog and Magog are at the end of the Millenium…”
This was a good point made by this brother. He was correct, BUT so was I.
Revelation 20:8 refers to after the 1,000 year kingdom of Messiah and Ezekiel is referring to a time prior to the tribulation period. Here was my response to our brother.
Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him, And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords: Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet: Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee. Ezekiel 38:2-6
This is Meshech (Moscow), Tubal (Tobolsk), Persia (Iran), Ethiopia (quite possibly what is now the Sudan), Libya, Gomer and Togarmah (possibly Turkey) will gather with a great company against “the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel…”
They will come down to “take a spoil” (Ezekiel 38:12) which I believe is what bro. Branham said Russia will come down against Israel for their oil, which they are just now discovering, amazingly enough.
Now, here is why I believe this is prior to the tribulation period.
As a result of the war God will send fire and hailstones out of heaven to destroy the armies gathered against Israel.
And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the handstaves, and the spears, and they shall burn them with fire seven years: So that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither cut down any out of the forests; for they shall burn the weapons with fire: and they shall spoil those that spoiled them, and rob those that robbed them, saith the Lord GOD. And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the noses of the passengers: and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call it The valley of Hamongog. And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of them, that they may cleanse the land. Ezekiel 39:9-12
According to these verses they will be cleaning up from the destruction that God wrought for 7 years and it will take 7 months to bury all the dead. After the millennium a fire comes from heaven to cleanse the entire earth. There will be no need to spend 7 years cleaning up the mess and burying the dead.
Of course, this isn’t an issue that has to do with our salvation, but its a prophecy of scripture that speaks of an event that will come to pass shortly. We shall see.
The Days of Noah Return Again

“But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark. And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” Matthew 24:37-39
Typically, prophecy scholars teach that the coming of the Son of man is a sudden event. But does the Scripture teach us this? Yes and no. Certain aspects of it are immediate events, but other aspects of it are not. Take for instance this scripture. The coming of the Son of man is likened unto the DAYS of Noah. Not the day that Noah entered the ark, but the DAYS of Noah, a period of time before the flood.
The word coming there in Greek is “parousia” and it means presence. The presence of the Son of man will take place over a period of time. Before the flood they were living in pleasure and wickedness. Noah came with a message and warning that judgement was coming, but they continued on in their pleasure and in their wickedness not knowing that there was impending doom for them.
In this day we have witnessed the presence of the Son of man through the mighty works of God in the ministry of William Branham. God vindicated his ministry showing forth His presence through it. A message came forth calling for repentance and the world continued on and said, “I am rich and increased with goods and have need of nothing.” Just as in the days of Noah they were eating, drinking, marrying and giving in marriage not knowing that doom was near. The message in this day is the same as it was in Noah’s day. Noah taught the people that the Ark was the only place of safety. In this day, the Ark of the word of God is the only place of safety. We must enter into Christ to be safe from the judgment that is coming.
To reiterate, here is what happened in the days of Noah.
1. Noah had God’s message calling the people to enter into the Ark
2. The people were content to go on status quo not caring for God’s message.
3. God brought destruction upon the world
The points I am making are these.
1. The coming (presence) of the Son of man is an event that takes place over a long period of time.
2. A message has come to the church to repent and turn back to Christ the only place of safety. A message will soon come to Israel to repent through the two witnesses, Moses and Elijah.
3. The presence of the Son of man has been revealed through the ministry of William Branham.
4. The majority of the church world is continuing on status quo even though God sent a message to them.
5. God will judge this wicked world in a massive, unprecedented way.
If you have anything to add here feel free to do so in the comments area.

Malachi 4:5-6 Fulfilled in this Generation?
September 18, 2008 by Jason DeMars
Filed under Biblical Prophecy, William Branham
I want to talk to you about what God has done in the 20th century.
I want to talk to you about a man by the name of William Branham. Born in 1909, he died in 1965, had a very amazing life, a very amazing story. That is not what this is about; this is more about the scriptures, how the scriptures apply.
He was born in Kentucky into a hillbilly family. God did many different things to show him that he was called to a ministry. When he was a child a voice spoke to him out of a whirldwind in a tree saying, “Don’t ever drink or smoke or defile your body in any way for I have a work for you when you get older.” He ran from it for the longest time, until God finally got a hold of him, and began to use him in a special way.
You can go to BelieveTheSign.com and learn more about his ministry, just find out the details that are there.
Basically, what I want to talk about is scripture. Malachi 4:5-6 says, “Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. He shall turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, or else I will come and smite the earth with a curse.”
So we look at that scripture, that scripture has a twofold application. The first one was “Hearts of the fathers to their children,” and then “Hearts of the children to their father.” So “Hearts of the fathers to their children,” is a direct application to John the Baptist in Luke 1.
Look at the verse now, it says “that portion” and then it quits there, it doesn’t address the second time, showing that it’s a dual prophecy. First prophet comes, the forerunners coming on each side. John the Baptist was sent…
In 1933, when Brother Brannam was baptizing in the Ohio River, and a supernatural light descended from heaven and said in an audible voice for hundreds of people to hear, “As John the Baptist was sent to forerun the first coming of Christ; you shall be sent with a message to forerun the second.” So we got John the Baptist on one side for the First Coming, we got William Brannam on the other side of the Second Coming, forerunning.
OK. Now, let’s go a little bit further here into the scripture. What does that verse apply to? John the Baptist was sent to turn from old formal Judaism, to turn it back over to a New Covenant, the New Covenant’s Children, which was the apostles. He was turning them from Judaism to Christ, the reality of Christ.
Now William Brannam came, he also turned the hearts of the children to their fathers, turned the hearts of the children of God back to their apostolic fathers’ faith. Basically, the idea is, he came to restore the things that were lost, we had a reformation.
Luther came, Wesley came, Zwingly, Calvin, all of the different reformers throughout the age of God, took a portion of God’s truth. God sent William Brannam. Together, all those things together, makes them available to the Bride of Christ as a whole.
So, we’ve got John the Baptist who turned to the New Covenant, and William Brannam who was sent with a message to “Turn our hearts back to the original faith.” That wasn’t a new idea, a new scripture, nothing added like that, but scripture itself brought back into proper balance.
